LPG vehicles only began to gain widespread popularity in the Czech Republic in the 1970s, while CNG arrived even later. Vítkovice vehicles powered by coal gas can therefore undoubtedly be described as true pioneers of alternative mobility. In addition to manufacturing tanks and installing them in vehicles, it was of course also necessary to build filling stations. This was also achieved smoothly in Vítkovice, as evidenced by historical pictures.
